Pharmaceutical marketing through patient care systems: an explication and analysis

Every year many new drugs come to market in Canada. We are studying the processes used to bring these new drugs to the attention of doctors and patients.

In particular, we are focusing on how digital health tools, such as clinical decision support tools, algorithms, electronic medical record systems or other patient care software platforms, can be used to increase awareness about new and existing pharmaceutical products.

We are interested in individuals’ experiences with these strategies and their views on the benefits and risks these initiatives.

The interview will take place over the phone and will last approximately 30 to 50 minutes.
