Transforming personal health information into commercial assets: opportunities, ethics and risks

We are conducting research on the commercialization of de-identified primary care patient data in Canada. Specifically, we are exploring the flow of de-identified patient data from collection to end use.

We are looking for individuals who have professional knowledge and/or experience in different steps of the journey of commercializing de-identified primary care patient data in Canada, including but not limited to collection, de-identification, distribution, and use.

The interview will take place over the phone and will last approximately 30 to 50 minutes. Your information will be kept confidential by Women’s College Hospital and only accessible by the research team. For any publications, your information will be anonymized and any identifying information will not be associated with anything you say.

All participants will receive a $50 gift card to either Starbucks, Tim Horton’s or Second Cup.

If you are interested, please contact our research coordinator, Leslie Vesely, at leslie.vesely@wchospital.ca or contact us using the form below. We recommend you use your personal email address (not your work email) to contact us.

Thank you!
